Metal flow and mold analysis in aluminum profile extrusion production

Extrusion molding is a kind of processing product that applies external force to the metal blank in the extrusion cylinder to overcome the friction resistance of the mold and the deformation resistance of the metal, flow out from a specific die hole, and obtain the required cross-sectional shape, size and performance. Plastic processing methods.

Generally speaking, in order to obtain a mold with an ideal structure, when the extrusion conditions have been determined, the first step is to make the mold structure have sufficient strength. Because aluminum profile extrusion is formed under processing conditions such as high temperature, high pressure, and complex friction resistance, the mold may undergo plastic deformation and be damaged; second, the die hole working belt must be reasonably designed so that the metal flow rate at the profile outlet is basically uniform.

If the die hole working belt is improperly designed, the flow rate of each part of the profile out of the die hole will be uneven, and the extruded products will have defects such as twisting, bending, and large plane gaps, seriously affecting the quality of the products.

     Preface

According to the stress and strain state of the metal in the aluminum profile extrusion barrel, the extrusion direction, the lubrication state, the extrusion temperature, the extrusion speed, the type or structure of the tool and die, the shape or number of ingots, the shape or number of products, etc. , the classification methods of extrusion are also different.
